Launched in 1998, Planet X quickly became the biggest Action Sports brand in Australia. Generating the wave of the extreme sports phenomenon, Planet X staged a multitude of events including the Planet X Winter and Summer Games, the biggest of their kind in the southern hemisphere.

These events formed the basis of a long and short format content distribution strategy connecting with youth across a range of channels from FTA TV to online.

Planet X has broadcast over 300 TV shows on free-to-air TV in Australia and via numerous broadcasters globally, and was recognised internationally as a pioneer of action sports entertainment.

The development and execution of integrated sponsorships of top tier youth brands from Sprite and Sony Playstation were integral to the platform.

In 2010, BNM will launch a new action sports platform - Evolution.
