Brand New Media launches TESCO UK's first branded TV Series 06.06.11 Brand New Media opens for business in the UK, with the Launch of Tesco’s Real Food Cook Off on both Channel 5 and UKTV’s Good Food Network. It will be Tesco’s first primetime ad-funded TV series. Cook Off, the TV format and marketing campaign created and produced by Brand New Media, will form part of TESCO’s REAL FOOD marketing campaign. The multi touch point campaign will incorporate TV, Online, Social Media, Instore, Publicity and Print. Consumers will enter their favourite recipes online, with the top 8 entries selected via an audition process to compete in the Cook Off TV series, as a prime time program across September and October. The contestants will compete head to head in themed cooking challenges such as Breakfast on the Go, Family Favourites, Heartbreak Healers, Date Night Dinners and Take Away At Home. Hosted by Matt Dawson and Lisa Faulkner and shot in some of Britain’s most stunning heritage food locations, The Real Food Cook Off will uncover Britain’s best home cooks. “We have been working for some years to launch our unique brand entertainment model into the UK market. The UK launch of Cook Off follows on from a very successful Singapore Family Cook Off in 2010, where the average audience for the Chanel 8 Friday night timeslot increased by 52%. The retail sponsor FairPrice enjoyed significant sales uplift, via the ingredients featured in the TV series recipes. Singapore Family Cook Off season 2 will broadcast in October and November 2011. Brand New Media has also secured broadcast and sponsorship deals for Family Cook Off to be produced in Italy, Belgium, Portugal, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Canada with other markets to follow. Brand New Media's brand funded series starts FROM THE GROUND UP 
Production on the new brand funded series From The Ground Up begins on June 28 at Murrays Beach, an award winning Stockland residential development on the shores of Lake Macquarie. The 10 part series follows four Aussie couples who put their skills to the test as they compete to build the ultimate Aussie dream home...from the ground up in just 10 weeks! The series is hosted by Jake Tyson, carpenter, entrepeneur and one of Australia's entertainment export success stories. He is joined by TV personality Felicity Whelan, and four very different couples, recruited from an extensive nationwide search. The first episode will air on Network Ten in October this year.
