TVNZ is New Zealand's biggest free-to-air broadcaster and is also the nation's television public broadcaster. TVNZ operates four channels, TVONE and TV2, and another two digital-only channels, TVNZ 6 and TVNZ 7, which are broadcast throught the Freeview platform.  As well, TVNZ runs an online "catchup TV" service called TVNZ OnDemand.

After 6pm, TVNZ 6's schedule features programming for the rest of the family, including science shows, nature documentaries, tween dramas, Kiwi classics and much more.

TVNZ 7 is New Zealand's first local factual channel. With a ratio of 30% news to 70% factual and arts programming, TVNZ 7 enables New Zealanders to discuss, consider and debate national and international news, current issues, ideas and concepts.
